Illustrious camera angle prompts, tested

Twenty framing and angle tags, from close-up to very wide shot and from below, each rendered on the same prompt and the same two seeds so you can see exactly what the tag changes.

The test

Every tile below uses the same prompt with one tag swapped in, on the same two seeds (1001 and 1002), on SirenRender’s free anime tile: WAI-Illustrious-SDXL v17 with the DMD2 LoRA, 8 steps, CFG 1, 832×1216. {TAG} marks where each tag goes:

general, solo, mature female, long black hair, amber eyes, white shirt, black jacket, black pants, city street, autumn leaves, day, {TAG}

What we found

Shot-size and direction tags are the most reliable group on WAI v17. full body, wide shot, cowboy shot, from side, from behind, profile, looking back and looking up worked on both seeds. Tight crops were less certain: close-up and portrait each stuck on one seed. Our guess is that the base prompt’s black pants pulls the camera back, because the model likes to show what you describe, so if a tight crop won’t stick, take lower-body clothing out of the prompt. very wide shot looked the same as wide shot, and fisheye barely registered at this distance.
