Why it works
- “Seen through a rain-covered window” puts the camera outside the glass, so the raindrops sit in front of his face on every seed.
- Two light sources with two colors (a warm lamp inside, green and amber city lights outside) give the picture its whole palette.
- “85mm lens at f/1.4” is what melts the city lights into round bokeh discs.
Make it yours
- Make it a woman, or two people sharing a table, and keep the window and the lamp.
