Why it works

  • walking, looking back with from side turns a portrait into a moment: she’s passing through and glances at you.
  • Our first version said holding transparent umbrella and drew the umbrella with a missing shaft on two of four seeds. This one, with holding umbrella over shoulder and the walk added, drew it correctly on all four.
  • reflections on wet ground doubles every neon sign in the street, which is most of what makes rain look like rain.

Make it yours

  • Swap black raincoat for yellow raincoat so she stands out from the neon.
  • Change short silver hair to long black hair, hair over one eye.
  • Add steam and ramen stall to the background for a busier street.
